HOW TO INTEGRATE CONVERSION TRACKER EASILY.
BEST WAYS AND PRACTICES WITH EXAMPLES

The major feature of online marketing is that you can track the effectiveness of your initiatives. You can see what is working and where you need to boost your game using digital marketing platforms, such as ad networks.

Nevertheless, before you start delving into all that tasty data, you need to understand a few fundamental ideas that will guide your judgment. Choose a dependable conversion tracking solution simultaneously, and ensure it works with the platforms you employ.

We’ll discuss the definition of conversion and how they’re measured in this article. We’ll also review the various monitoring options and how they might help your marketing efforts.

Now let’s start without further ado!

Conversions and Conversion Rate Definitions

The terms conversions and conversion rates are probably familiar to you, but what do they mean?

In brief, a conversion is any user action you wish to track, such as signing up for a newsletter, making a full purchase, or completing a web form; in other words, a user might do any significant action after seeing your advertisement.

One or more conversions occur each time you successfully get visitors to answer one or more of your calls to action (CTAs).

You can have more than one conversion per click or marketing opportunity, so keep that in mind. For instance, completing a contact form counts as one. The biggest conversion of them all might be a purchase.

These are a few frequent conversions:

  • Link click
  • Sending a form
  • Getting to a specific page
  • Putting in an app
  • Putting items in the cart
  • Completing a transaction
  • Registration, and others

What is a Conversion Rate?

Conversion Rate (CR) is the percentage of visitors accomplishing a desired goal. This amount can be calculated by dividing the conversions by the overall clickthrough rate. This figure, which is typically expressed as a percentage, can be used to gauge how effectively specific aspects of your campaign are working.

Recall that successful conversion rates differ depending on your industry, the nature of your adverts, and other elements. Making the appropriate judgments and boosting your goals regularly will help you increase the effectiveness of your advertisements.

What is a Conversion Tracker?

It’s time to look at tracking now that we have established conversions and conversion rates. You can monitor what kinds of conversions you are getting, where they are coming from, and other details with conversion tracking, which enables you to make the most of your marketing money.

Conversion monitoring solutions reveal your clients’ actions after interacting with your advertisement. Thanks to these features, you can observe which ads from which campaigns are sending you paying clients.

In addition to this, you may gather more data to aid in creating buyer personas and provide you with insights into your consumers’ purchasing behaviors. They consist of the following:

  • A device, OS, and browser version
  • GEO
  • Daytime
  • Internet service provider
  • Language
  • Connection type

Keeping track of your conversions is crucial because they determine how successful your campaign was. Even if you can be spending a lot of money and earning a respectable amount of revenue, it doesn’t necessarily follow that your campaign is operating at its peak efficiency.

Understanding which aspects of your campaign are genuinely bringing in money and which ones are just using up your resources can be made easier with conversion tracking.

Why do you Need a Conversion Tracker?

The best thing about conversion monitoring is using the data you gather to make your campaign more effective. You may create a campaign focused on conversion by fusing consumer data with performance information.

1. Previous benchmarks
When you install conversion tracking, you should start by setting a baseline. If you have a sufficient number of conversions, evaluate the effectiveness of your campaign. At least every 60 to 90 days, you can compare your progress using this data.

2. A/B Testing
A/B testing is the most effective method for discovering the minor caveats of your audience. You may determine which combinations of versions attract your audience the best by installing many and distributing traffic equally among them. After that, you may use the same format and idea for additional advertisements and components of your marketing plan.

3. Establish which advertisements are the most successful
Knowing which advertisements are the most successful should be of particular importance to businesses that invest a lot of money in advertising. You may view a breakdown of which advertisements, ad groups, and campaigns generate the most revenue using conversion tracking.

4. Calculating ROI
ROI is one of those elusive-yet-important measures that is always challenging to understand. The task is made easier by conversion tracking because you can see the profitability of each ad separately. Next, you may allocate your resources and choose which characteristics your moneymakers share.

5. Distinguish Traffic Depending on Parameters
Using conversion tracking, you can divide traffic depending on factors like OS type, location, and device kind. This knowledge may be used to create distinct campaigns, distribute your resources, and increase your audience.

6. Putting promotions in place
Your campaign can profit from marketing and A/B testing on two different levels. Promotions can assist in developing your sales funnel and achieving conversions through purchases, downloads, or subscriptions. Second, you can compile data to develop various buyer profiles and craft advertising that is more likely to generate interest.

7. Enhancing the User Experience
User experience is crucial when connecting with your audience, especially in the gaming, dating, and entertainment sectors. You can determine what tone to use and what layout, color scheme, and other features your visitors respond to the best with conversion tracking.

Types of Conversion Tracking

Although there are other conversion options for various ad types, server-to-server (S2S) and pixel tracking are the two most popular.

Because it depends on the advertiser’s servers, server-side tracking is the most trustworthy. When a user clicks on an advertisement, this tracking tracks the results of the sessions. S2S tracking lets you view all actions leading up to conversion by authenticating a piece of data (often a transaction ID). The user’s decision-making process can be better understood if you can see any actions they take after they convert.

S2S tracking is incredibly trustworthy because it:

  • Enables more precise tracking
  • Is very adaptable since it offers many options for conversion detection
  • Is suitable for mobile devices

It should be noted that server-side tracking requires more setup time. Due to the need for the advertising to typically use HTTP to code the requests, the procedure necessitates a certain level of technical expertise.

Pixel conversion uses a piece of code dependent on the user’s browser to gather data. Because cookies can retain session information, which can be easily extracted from a user’s browser, this conversion method leverages them.

In comparison to S2S, pixel tracking is incredibly simple to set up. With this technique, you paste some HTML code on the page you wish to track, and presto!

You should be aware that, despite how simple it is to set up, pixel tracking:

  • Works poorly on mobile devices
  • Because it is browser-based, is more vulnerable to fraud (can be manipulated)
  • Due to pixel failure, not all conversions may be tracked

How Does Third-Party Tracking Software Work

Third-parties trackers are very helpful and have many benefits, such as:

  • Every advantage of simple conversion tracking
  • Additional statistics (device models, IPs, and more)
  • Ability to examine several traffic sources in a single interface

How to integrate conversion tracker

Here are 3 Simple Steps you Need to Follow to set Postback With Clickadu:

1. Decide between a CPA network or a conversion tracker.

You should choose the tracking system you intend to utilize initially. The eight most popular tracking systems are listed under the ‘Tracking’ category: Binom, Keitaro, Voluum, RedTrack, PeerClick, BeMob, AdsBridge, LandingTrack, and CPV LabPro. By clicking on a tracker’s name, your postback URL will be immediately modified to generate one tailored to each tracking system. A chosen tracker’s visitor ID token will be used in place of our token ${SUBID}, which represents a visitor ID (as shown in the picture below).

If your tracking solution is not displayed on the “Tracking” page, choose the “Our network and other networks” option, copy the link that appears in the form below (Step 2), and substitute your tracking solution’s token for our network’s token, $SUBID

2. To obtain your postback URL, click “Copy.”

Copy the URL that will be generated automatically once you have chosen a tracking solution and paste it in the area below. If you choose the “Our network and other networks help here” option, an article with step-by-step instructions for configuring the Clickadu S2S conversion tracking integration settings will be linked to you.

3. Add your postback URL to your tracking solution’s or CPA network’s “Traffic Source” settings.

Copy the link, then paste it into your tracking solution’s ‘Traffic Source’ settings. If you use a tracking solution other than the ones listed in Step 1, substitute the token for our network with the token for your tracker.

We hope this article was useful and you obtained extra knowledge.
